The Killarney U11s will have the honour of playing on the hallowed ground of Thomond Park this coming Saturday.

In order to ensure full transparency for those who unfortunately won’t get to play, the club would like to publish its selection basis.

For starters, there are currently 21 U11s but Munster only allow 12 on the pitch. Strict policy. Traditionally, the lucky dozen have been chosen on the basis of attendance during the season. The decision was taken to follow this policy.

The club therefore looked at attendance at the 3 training sessions this season (as of last week) . All who had attended the 3 automatically qualified. After that, those who had attended 2 sessions and had paid up membership qualified. This gave us 12 in total.
