Last Sunday some our minis along with coaches and parents took part in the wonderful St. Patrick's Day parade in Killarney. With almost 60 floats taking part, the parade promised to be as big as ever with many different clubs, cultures and businesses taking part.

We started to gather at bay 35 from around 1pm and you could hear the various pipe bands warming up, building the atmosphere nicely. This year we had a float which was a giant split bucket - to promote our Split the Bucket fundraiser and we also had a Lineout game on the back of the float which turned out to be very popular with the crowd along the route as they tried to through a rugby ball into the net - practising their lineout skills! Thanks to Club Chairman Ger Moynihan for his trojan work in putting the float together and for driving the float on the day.

We would like to thank everyone who marched with us on the day, the kids, the parents and our coaches who looked after their charges on the day. A great day was had by all and we look forward to making next year's parade entry even better. Thanks to Ger Moynihan and Liam Murphy for organising the event, to our marshall James Maher for leading the club along the route and giving all the high fives! Thanks to Jenna, Liam and Denise for getting into the circus spirit on the day and to Tony and Stevie for the photos and safety! Check out some photos from the day below and take a look at our facebook page for more.
