Killarney RFC was delighted to be able to host a 2-day Munster youth coaching course in Barraduff last Friday and Saturday. Along with close to 20 colleagues from Kerry, Cork and Limerick, 9 Killarney coaches were put through their paces.

The course combined modules on child development, session structure and planning with fun on-field drills and games. Practice sessions included warm-ups, tackling, scrummaging and line-outs. The course was really well run and was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance.

Killarney RFC would like to thank Munster Rugby and in particular Aidan Cleary, Euan Gee, Fiach O'Loughlin, Ray Gadsden and Denis Corridan for helping organise and run the event. Thanks too to the committee at Barraduff Community Field for allowing us to use their wonderful facilities. Finally thanks to the Killarney coaches for giving their time and to everyone at the club who helped in any way.

Pictured are the KRFC coaches who took part in the course: Paudie Sheahan, Ger Moynihan, Denise Treacy, Mark Doody, Tom O'Leary, Jenna Moynihan, Peter O'Shaughnessy. Tony Dunne and Gerard Sugrue. Well done everyone!
