Ray Gadsden is organising a ‘Boots On’ rugby blitz in Castleisland RFC on Saturday 27th October, 7pm (full details tbc)
This is aimed at:
- players who are training with their clubs and maybe not getting as much game time as they would like
- players who have drifted away from the game but would like the opportunity to play again and
- clubs that are trying to establish themselves but cannot field at present.
But no-one who is playing on a regular basis and would like to have a bit of fun will be excluded
Organisation of games will be dependent on players who turn up - it could be non-contested scrums or line outs. Player safety is paramount.
Format will depend on the numbers that arrive on the night, it could be 8 V 8, 11 V 11 or a full 15 a side.
Castleisland RFC are hosting and they will have the bar open after and food will be supplied.
Please pass this on to anyone you know who isn't currently playing but who you think might like to get back on the field.
If this proves to be a success - Ray is looking to do this again before Christmas.
Please contact Ger Moynihan, Tom O'Leary, Peter Kelly or Ger Sugrue if you're interested to join in this initiative so we can give Ray an idea of likely numbers..
