With Killorglin struggling for numbers, this match was played at 13 a side. This meant more space than usual, but we were unable to adjust to the extra space early on, and Killorglin opened the scoring with a try in the corner which was improved by an excellent conversion.
Killarney responded quickly to bring the score to 7-5, Mark Brosnan popping up on the right wing to touch down. Killorglin almost immediately scored another converted try to lead 14-5.
The lads were able to raise their game to score 3 unanswered tries through Mark Kennelly, David Courtney, and Mark Kennelly again to lead 22-14 at half time.
In the second half we added a fifth try by Arthur Gabbett to stretch our lead to 29-14. The game ended as a contest when Killorglin were reduced to 12 men after an injury.
