Killarney Rugby Football Club celebrated a memorable season at their Annual 2023/2024 Season Awards Ceremony on Sunday, 26th May. Originally scheduled to be held at the Rugby Club, the event was moved to the charming Old Killarney Inn in Aghadoe, Killarney, due to concerns over the inclement weather forecast. However, it turned out to be a beautiful day with a huge crowd in attendance.
The highlight of the evening was the presence of the guest of honour, the Six Nations trophy, adding a touch of prestige to the celebrations. The ceremony brought together players, coaches, and supporters to honor outstanding achievements and moments from the season. Recognizing exceptional performances, dedication, and sportsmanship, the event showcased the club's commitment to excellence and community spirit.

The senior players also made a special presentation to Paul O'Sullivan in recognition of his years of service and another possible retirement.
Our awards ceremony concluded with a very special presentation by our chairman, Ger Moynihan. He awarded a lifetime club membership and a memento to our U18 player, Ava O'Malley, in recognition of her outstanding achievements, including representing Munster and being capped by the Irish U18s. In a touching gesture, Ava reciprocated by presenting Ger with her framed Irish jersey, which will be hung proudly in our clubhouse.
We would like to thank everybody who attended, including players, coaches, parents, and supporters. We extend our gratitude to all those who helped in the setting up of the function room, including decorations, our chefs at the BBQ, and our main club sponsor, Scotts Hotel Killarney.
